Billy is an accomplished artist that has over 20 years of tattoo expertise under his belt. His love and dedication to the art and mastery of tattooing has lead him to open his second tattoo shop, Heron Mark Tattoo, in Asheville, NC.
Heron Mark Tattoo was born from Billy’s vision to create a tattoo shop in Asheville that’s immaculately clean and beautifully designed; a space where the city’s top tattoo artists are inspired to collaborate closely with clients to create exceptional tattoos that they're proud to wear for life.
As one of Asheville's best tattoo artists, Billy has a very extensive breath of work but is best known for his lush painterly tattoos that drip with color and texture.​

Chris is an artist, author and professional tattooer of 15 years.
He sees tattooing as a spiritual technology for personal evolution and creates transformational tattoos to inspire his clients to connect with their infinite nature.
“A transformational tattoo has the capacity to connect you with your infinite nature through the universal language of sacred geometry which is intrinsically attractive because it alters our consciousness when we look at it.”
Chris specializes in black and grey dotwork tattooing integrating mandalas, sacred geometry and ornamental nature inspired elements into his work.

Nikki is a well established tattoo artist from the far off land of smashing through folding tables, Buffalo, NY baby!
Most tattoo artists choose this life, but the tattoo life chose Nikki G at the young age of 21.
With no art background of any kind, she has proven hard work will get you everywhere.
Nikki is known for black and grey realism heavily inspired by nature elements. She is so grateful and appreciative of her clients, and all the artists she's met along the way.
BROOKE

Brooke is an artist with a naturalist’s heart. Her creative mission is to adorn and celebrate the human body while prioritizing a safe, communicative, and uplifting space.
Born in Northern California, she studied Art and Environmental Biology at Humboldt State University. She is a self-taught tattooer, moved and motivated by the act of sharing a deeply transformational art form with others.
Now she integrates her appreciation for all things growing and decomposing with her lifetime of illustration and printmaking to create detail oriented and highly intentional tattoos.
Specializing in fine line work, black and greyscale, and illustrative tattoos, she enjoys working with all subject matter from species-specific flora and fauna to imagined dreamscapes.
DAVID CHARLTON

David is an extensively accomplished mixed media entrepreneur and tattoo artist. With over 18 years of experience, David has developed a unique blend of techniques to create his own stylized realism designs. Specializing in cover-ups, Japanese artistry, surrealism, neo-traditional and large scale works, David has developed a devoted clientele throughout the United States.
As a full time resident to Asheville, David enjoys embracing the holistic and conscious community. Future endeavors for David Charlton include traveling around the globe to participate in mural art festivals, continuing education with new medium usage, and expanding his works of fine art graffiti. Beyond the realm of tattoos and painting, David enjoys living a highly active lifestyle. Some of his hobbies include rock climbing, yoga, hiking with his pups, martial arts, motorcycles, skateboarding, and collecting whiskey.

Ben is a lifelong artist and illustrator who brings his extensive art background into the world of tattooing. He's personally experienced how tattoos can make a person feel more like themselves, and is honored to be able to do this for other people in a way that is uniquely his.
Whether it be with his hand-drawn illustrative work, eye-catching realism, or vibrant color work, he's eager to work with you to create a new part of yourself that you can be excited about.
When Ben isn't drawing, painting, or tattooing, you can catch him tearing up the soccer field, shredding the guitar or piano, or obliterating the internet chess board.

Tanner is a guest artist here at Heron Mark Tattoo. He was carved from ice in his homeland of MN. This individual had little artistic abilities, but through hard work and guidance has shown that the desire to learn and grow will outperform gifted talents.
Tanner's adventurous personality and ambitious work ethic is what drew him into the world of tattooing. When he is not tattooing you can find him fly fishing in the rivers, climbing on cliff faces, or wrenching on his motorcycle. Tanner enjoys doing all styles and is the wizard of walk-ins. ​​​
